projects

Many friends have asked what I mean when I tell them while my parents visit, we have "projects" that keep us busy.  I thought I'd give you a quick snapshot of some of the many projects we accomplished on their last visit.  It is amazing how much can get done when there are extra hands to watch and play with the boys, wash dishes, help with the cooking, you get the idea, it is just simply wonderful and selfless on their part.

**Paint project with my Dad: taking their old medicine cabinet (purchased originally from an Iowa farm auction) painting it white and attempting to make it shabby chic!  I'm quite pleased with the final product and it's now hanging in our bathroom.

**Sewing projects with my Mom: a new sleepsack for Parker and a new bench cover in our entryway

**We hung and planted some Iowa purchases and spray painted the hand-me-down star from my Mom

**We also hung shelves in our bedroom to get our wedding photos back up on the wall

So much work in so little time, it would have taken me a LOT longer to get this all done on my own, thanks Mom and Dad!  We love you!
