good night

And finally, a few photos from the past few days with Grandpa & Grandma O.
Sweet dreams...

curtains are a boys best friend

He's only 9 months old...is it even worth trying? I'm sure curtains will always be a favorite toy, hiding spot, etc...?!

work

So this is what happens when I visit work with Grant now that I've "retired!"....the designers on my team get to play dress-up with my child :) Grant was a great sport & Erik followed-thru with sending me the photos he took, I think he was the highlight of their day!

Honesty & Integrity

Biblical Virtue #4 to pray for your precious little ones...

Honesty & Integrity. "May integrity and honesty be their virtue and their protection" (Ps. 25:21)

face lift

I thought it was time our blog had a face lift so.....waaaallaaaa! Amazing what you can get done when your baby takes a 2 hour morning nap!! Off to the airport soon to pick up Grandpa and Grandma O, yippeee!!!

tuckered out

Last night we had a good laugh during dinner as Grant was fighting to stay awake in his high chair! Poor little guy, he's had a rough week but thankfully he seems to have gotten his appetite back so I think we've turned the corner to recovery!

Under the weather

Grant continues to be under the weather, today a nice deep cough has settled in his chest and has a very runny nose. The nose we can handle and have dealt with since the end of last week, the cough is a bit more concerning and scary to hear for the first time. We will continue to lay low in hopes of a quick and speedy recovery before Grandpa & Grandma O arrive on Thursday!!

Here are some of my most favorite pictures as of late....I love bath tub pictures!!

Grant seems to thoroughly enjoy his teething biscuits, we fondly call them his dog bones!

Love.

Sticking with the Valentine's theme as of late...the third biblical virtue to pray for your kids is as follows:

3/ Love. "Grant, Lord, that my children may learn to live a life of love, through the Spirit who dwells in them" (Gal. 5:25, Eph. 5:2)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Grant helped me bake a heart pan of cinnamon rolls for Daddy this morning.
On the move...we haven't decided if Grant is going to skip crawling altogether and go straight to walking! Time to start baby-proofing the house I suppose!
He likes to stick his tongue out :)

9 months and growing

Today we had Grant's 9-month appointment and he passed with flying colors, confirmation that our little string bean is still a long and lean little bugger! On the growth chart he's 65% for length, 5% for weight and 90% for the circumference of his dome :)

Asleep

It is said that as your children grow and become more active they "practice" their moves in their crib while they sleep. Grant made me laugh this morning so I had to take a picture, even at the risk of him waking up! He is making his way toward crawling and has been getting his knees scooted underneath himself even while napping, too cute!

#2

The second Biblical Virtue we're praying for Grant is as follows: Growth in Grace. "I pray that my children may grow in grace and knowlege of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Pet. 3:18).

Hi5

This week Grant has started to give high 5's, if you put your hand out he'll lift his up too, it's so cute!
Thanks to Grandma Susan for the adorable "Hand Over the Hugs" t-shirt from Dana Point last week!

More fun!

Today we enjoyed an hour with friends Lucy & Wes at the bouncy house!

new ride

Grant and his long legs are graduating into his new car seats this week. We just put his new racing zebra stripes on and let him test it out while Frank was putting it together for him :)

31 Biblical Virtues

Frank and I have started praying for Grant from a list of 31 biblical virtues to pray for your kids (by Bob Hostetler). We have decided to pray one from the list each week so I thought I would post them as we go in case any of you would like to join us or do the same for your kiddos!

1. Salvation. "Lord , let salvation spring up within my children, that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory" (Is. 45:8, 2 Tim. 2:10)

Better!

Grant is feeling better, therefore, we all are feeling better. Today he spent the hour of church in the nursery for the first time and got rave reviews. The ladies helping in the infant room said he was such a happy baby and all smiles the entire time. That's our boy, we have been blessed with a very happy guy! Grant, we love your sunny disposition and hope you never outgrow it!

This is a quick picture on his scooter yesterday.
