the boys

This morning, while Grant was getting dressed for the day, we were discussing boy parts and how he, Parker and Daddy had pee-pee's and Mommy did not.  His response, "Mom, let's go downstairs, I want to make you a pee-pee too."  I love his innocence and love for his Mother!

Parker has just recently taken an interest in books, finally!  We fondly remember this stage with Grant.  Parker sees a book, picks it up, brings it to any willing participant and then reaches his arms up to be placed in our lap for a little book reading!  Love it, love it, love it!

happy birthday frank!

Happy Birthday honey!  It was Frank's birthday yesterday and we had a grand time celebrating DAD!

The bandit strikes again.  It was my fault, I left the bathroom door open but still, seriously Parker, it's not funny anymore!  Mommy's patience is running thin!

What would we do without curtains?  Thankfully the boys haven't ripped the rods off the walls yet :)

Parker's still coughing in the night, a lot.  I'm typically up with him for about an hour each night in the rocking chair, usually 1:30 or 3.  I can't wait for him to be happy and healthy again!

Grant

Grant: "Dad, use your big muscles!"  (Frank trying for about 5 minutes to open a GoGurt tube!)

Grant: Woke up this morning, walked into the hallway and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Christmas is almost here!"

I love you buddy!

15 month Bear

As unbelievable as it seems, Parker is now 15 months old!  We had his well child check appointment a couple of weeks ago and here are his stats:

weight 23 lbs, 9 oz (35%)
height 33 1/2" (97%)
head circumference 19 3/8" (93%)

Unfortunately, since having his appointment, we've all suffered a round of headcolds with Parker having the grand finale over the weekend, croup!  Thankfully, we seem to be on the mend with only a few runny noses left.  We keep waiting and waiting for his molars to pop through but still nothing, only a lot of misery and drool, poor little guy!

Parker, though you're quite needy and vocal at this stage of the game, we are loving your level of activity and the spice you're adding to our lives!  You give us a piece of your mind frequently and usually we eventually figure out what you're after or needing.  You still don't particularly like having your diaper changed and since you're so strong we usually have a wrestling match with you.  You also don't care for being strapped into your carseat or your high chair.

You can say Mama and Dada, uh-oh, cheese (when I'm taking your picture), dog and blue you've said once, you do sign language for all done, we can get a thank you every now and then and you say dut-duh for thank you as well!  Our favorite has to be when you blow each of us kisses though.

You tootle around here like you own the place but when you were sick you wanted to be held and carried at all times.  Also when you were sick you screamed so loudly in the middle of the night a few times that I had to cover my ears in your room.  You know how to turn on and push all of the buttons on the Blu-ray player which thoroughly annoys all of us and you know how to get a rise out of your brother pretty easily.

We love your interactions with us and particularly with Grant.  You bring pure joy to our lives and we are blessed to call you our own little Bear!  We love you!

Since being confined to the house for the better part of the last two weeks we got to watch brother, and his buddy Jack, row the boat with Dad through the window.

The toilet paper bandit at it again!  This time he got the entire roll emptied before we knew what he was up to but he also got himself tangled up in it, the little turkey!

MAX

We had a really fun morning of taking the public transit system, the MAX, helping our little buddy Colin celebrate his 2nd birthday!  These boys were enamored with everything having to do with the train, here they are loving every minute of our morning adventure!

Parker had a fun time too but gave me the stink-eye in this shot :)

a few more...

Just a few more photos my neighbor sent to us from last night...

Grant with Jack "the bat", who knows what they're actually doing here?!

John with Jacob and Frank with Parker.  These two little ones are sure to have a lot more fun next year keeping up with their big brothers!

Toward the end of the night, Grant needed a quick lift but was adamant he wasn't through getting candy for the night, ha, ha!
