Grant thinks it's a sister ;)

This morning Grant said "hi baby," and kissed my belly which is a usual occurance, however, I asked him for the first time if he thought it would be a boy baby or a girl baby.....he said, "giiiirl!" So of course, I couldn't let that go and had to ask him again a little bit later in the morning and he again said, "giiiirl." Yes, a third time today I asked thinking the answer would probably change but nope, he's a persistant little guy, he again said, "giiiirl." I guess Frank and I should note our predictions as well...I'm leaning more toward boy and Frank continues to ride the fence and won't commit! With Grant we were convinced we were having a boy but this time we are having a much harder time deciding?!

pretty

On Saturday night Frank and I were fortunate enough to have his parents stay at our house to watch Grant while we attended my dear friend Debbie's wedding. That afternoon I got ready during Grant's nap so when he woke up and I went in to get him, he was standing in his crib, and then he pointed at me and said "EWWWWWW, preeeeetty!" I about cried it was the sweetest most unsolicited thing he's ever said to me...and I also decided he hardly EVER sees me in a dress and with makeup on ;) I love that little boy!

He is Risen!

Grant was an egg hunt champ this year! He was eager to snatch up eggs yet he was "all done, all done, all done" with the Easter bunny when we tried to take pictures with him, ha! He waved his hands frantically in the air to get it away from him.

On Saturday we attended an Easter service at church and an egg hunt in the afternoon, it was a cold and rainy day so we were happy to be inside. Sunday was spent with Frank's family and Grant loved playing with his cousins again!

Grant's friend, Rossi, was sleepy on his first Easter egg hunt!
The cotton candy machine set off the fire alarm so we had to take a quick pic of Grant in front of the fire truck!

Cruising

We have just returned from an amazing Southern Caribbean cruise with all four of Grant's Grandparents, needless to say we had an absolute blast! Grant is sure to not remember any of the eight islands we visited, which is a shame, but we know he had as much fun as we did.

We started in Puerto Rico and the view from our balcony made us want to just stay there for a couple of weeks :)
Starting his vacation right, sipping his milk poolside
This was our home away from home
The doting Grandmothers, Grant was in his glory...and so were we!
How we spent most of our days, heavenly!
The crystal clear waters of Curacao were among my most favorite, the snokeling was magnificent
We enjoyed the colors of Grenada and shopping for spices
Grandma O celebrating her birthday on the ship!
Trying to keep Mr. Grant entertained during formal dinners each night
Did I mention he had a great time?!!

March

March has been a very busy and fast month to say the least. My great friend, Jen, paid us a visit all the way from Iowa for a long weekend to start the month and we had a wonderful time with her here. I think Grant missed her just as much as I did after she left! Thanks Jen for making the trip! Here are some photos from her time here and a few other random shots of what Grant's been up to.
Oh my, is it possible that he could someday be taller than his daddy?!

Grant is very much into throwing things right now so he thoroughly enjoyed himself while throwing sand at the beach!
Jen joined us for Grant's "gym class," he loves the balance beam and doing somersaults right now, he has now mastered the somersault without assistance!
With Coach Leslie on the trampoline
These photos are from his earlier bout with pneumonia, we made a trip to the park once he was on his antibiotics and feeling much better but not ready for play dates!

Grant adores playing "boo!" with his daddy

Taking his daily ride in his pjs on the ironing board, ha! Funny guy!

absent

We've been a bit absent lately and for a number of reasons. We ended our January in Texas with the "O" side of the family and had a wonderful time as you can see!

We're pretty sure the highlight of the trip for Grant was Grandpa O's golf cart, he still says golf cart a lot!

The family that could make the trip, what a blast!Grant with his 2nd cousins, Witt & Nash...and his golf balls
The 1st cousins!
He looked so intent, just his size too
Daddy & son...yep, same golf balls
Once home Grant's cold made a turn for the worst and resulted in pneumonia and ear infections so we've been homebound for quite some time but are thankfully much, much, much better and not nearly as sleep deprived as a few weeks ago! We are READY for SPRING!!!
