"our" room

With the arrival of my family for the Christmas holiday we decided to bite the bullet and transition Parker into a toddler bed AND (stupidly) also move him into his brother's room!  We knew this was inevitable and thought why not just get it over with....well, hmmm, I can think of about 100 different reasons why not to have done this!  

Thankfully, Grant loves having his brother in his room and though bedtime is still most often a challenge, we are thankful they will grow-up sharing a room among many, many other things as brothers often do!  We have also learned many things about each of them during this, now 5 month process, most notably, Grant falls asleep almost instantly when his head touches his pillow while Parker takes a mere 45 minutes to an hour to finally crash.  His persistence to remain awake each night is admirable but, thankfully, we always win in the end ;)  Each morning Parker is also almost always the first to wake, this has taken some getting use to by his big brother and a LOT of patience by all to have an early riser among us, uff da!  

Grant and Parker, we love you guys and the many, many hours of sleep we've lost due to this transition is still worth it as we lay in bed most mornings listening to your laughter drifting through the hallway! xoxo ~ Mommy
