15 month Bear

As unbelievable as it seems, Parker is now 15 months old!  We had his well child check appointment a couple of weeks ago and here are his stats:

weight 23 lbs, 9 oz (35%)

height 33 1/2" (97%)

head circumference 19 3/8" (93%)

Unfortunately, since having his appointment, we've all suffered a round of headcolds with Parker having the grand finale over the weekend, croup!  Thankfully, we seem to be on the mend with only a few runny noses left.  We keep waiting and waiting for his molars to pop through but still nothing, only a lot of misery and drool, poor little guy!

Parker, though you're quite needy and vocal at this stage of the game, we are loving your level of activity and the spice you're adding to our lives!  You give us a piece of your mind frequently and usually we eventually figure out what you're after or needing.  You still don't particularly like having your diaper changed and since you're so strong we usually have a wrestling match with you.  You also don't care for being strapped into your carseat or your high chair. 

You can say Mama and Dada, uh-oh, cheese (when I'm taking your picture), dog and blue you've said once, you do sign language for all done, we can get a thank you every now and then and you say dut-duh for thank you as well!  Our favorite has to be when you blow each of us kisses though.

You tootle around here like you own the place but when you were sick you wanted to be held and carried at all times.  Also when you were sick you screamed so loudly in the middle of the night a few times that I had to cover my ears in your room.  You know how to turn on and push all of the buttons on the Blu-ray player which thoroughly annoys all of us and you know how to get a rise out of your brother pretty easily.

We love your interactions with us and particularly with Grant.  You bring pure joy to our lives and we are blessed to call you our own little Bear!  We love you!



Since being confined to the house for the better part of the last two weeks we got to watch brother, and his buddy Jack, row the boat with Dad through the window. 

The toilet paper bandit at it again!  This time he got the entire roll emptied before we knew what he was up to but he also got himself tangled up in it, the little turkey!
