First Steps

Yesterday was a pretty big day in our house, Grant decided it was time to walk on his own! Evidently we can forget about crawling?! Oh boy, we are in some serious trouble over here! He's been cruising furniture for awhile, pulling himself up on things, we often let go of him and he remains standing for a bit before falling down, walking a LOT while holding our hands but only taking some wobbly steps between his Daddy & I, nothing too courageous on his own.

Well, yesterday I had some friends over with their little ones so I guess he decided since he had an audience it was a good time to make his walking debut. I was holding his hands and was letting him go to see how long he would stand up unassisted and he would take a few steps and I would catch him. This time in particular he got his balance and kept going and walked right over to my friend Erin & her little guy Wes, about five steps in total and then just stood there before falling! We were dumbfounded!
